Affiliates of Hemmeter Companies designed, developed and now operate Saddle Ranch Universal at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. This $3 million-dollar project proved to be an unqualified success. Annual revenues exceed $9 million and has single-handedly re-energized the City Walk development at Universal Studios. Mark Hemmeter not only developed but managed the opening of this profitable restaurant and bar.

Recently, Hemmeter Companies’ affiliate sold its ownership in Saddle Ranch Universal, but it retains rights to develop additional Saddle Ranch properties worldwide.

Bullwhackers Casino is located in Black Haw, Colorado at the main corner of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. Built in 1992 it was the first large casino in Colorado. In 1994 the property was expanded with the purchase and development of a neighboring 3.5 acres. The former EPA Superfund site is now a 400 car parking lot. It is zoned gaming so Bullwhackers could expand dramatically in the future.

As President, Mark Hemmeter managed the development and opening of this groundbreaking casino.

Bullwhackers is currently owned by Penn National Gaming Inc.

Completed in 1988, the Hyatt Regency Waikoloa, now under Hilton management, is famous for the amazing tram system and unique interactive dolphin program. Build as a large convention-oriented resort hotel, the Hyatt Regency has 1,234 rooms to accommodate any group. Located on the Kona Coast of the Big Island, this hotel sits on 61 acres of land.

Westing Kauai at Kauai Lagoons was the re-development of Kauai Surf Hotel with the addition of two award-winning Jack Nicklaus golf courses. This gorgeous destination resort hotel has 855 comfortable rooms and plenty of activities for the whole family, including horse and carriage and boat programs. Completed in 1987 on Kalapaki Beach, Kauai, Hawaii, Westin Kauai sits comfortably on 850 acres.

Hurricane Iniki substantially damaged the property in 1992. The property was later sold to Marriott and has been re-developed as a mixed Hotel/Time Share project.

Completed in 1987, the Westin Maui is the result of the spectacular re-development of the Maui Surf Hotel on Kannapali Beach, Maui, Hawaii. The addition of the new hotel tower and intimate multi-level pool re-energized the old property. It is located in the heart of Kannapali Beach resort.
